I absolutely love the, what I believe to be Mowtown sound of her stuff, this track and another one called 'Mercy'. A Wikipedia article called it blue-eyed soul--whatever that is. Whatever genre it is, it's fabulous. As Jools Holland says, 'turn your set up'.

Cold calls and phone scams

A short but sweet entry today. Well OK if not sweet maybe useful? A couple of links for you that are now dear to my heart. The first may be of interest to those of us in the UK, but the second may help those of you in other countries, too.

First of all I've had a fair few cold callers lately, even though I'm part of the Telephone Preference service. What I didn't know is, that not only can you, once signed up, reduce the amount of cold calls you get--and I have to admit I have far fewer now--but the ones you do get, you can also do something about. Also, I've had a good few calls saying my computer has been hacked, or that it's downloaded some malware--had one today actually--so I looked that up on the net and found another very interesting article on the Microsoft site:
